Release notes
ClipChick 0.1.0 beta 4
For Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 14 or later. Free beta. A future release may be paid.
What’s new in Beta 4
- Eligible installs now try Open at Login registration when there is no saved choice, including when macOS reports the login item unavailable. An explicit opt-out is preserved.
- The Open at login checkbox remains visible under General → Startup & Paste so you can retry or switch it off. Approval, error and unavailable states remain visible as reported by macOS.
Previously added in Beta 3
- Preview full text or a larger image before choosing a clip. Preview leaves the clipboard and current selection alone.
- See whether the next action copies or pastes. If Accessibility setup is missing, the picker points to the setup guide; manual Command-V remains available.
- Recent 10 and All clips have one scope control. Pinned, Images and Links are separate filters, and search still covers saved history.
- Open at Login errors explain a recovery step and let you retry registration. The app reports macOS’s current status rather than promising that every installation can register.
- Feedback can include optional app version, build and macOS details for you to review before sending. Clipboard contents are excluded.
What’s included
Keep a local history of copied text and images, search saved text, pin useful clips, and choose items with keyboard shortcuts. Pause or delete your history whenever you like.
Optional automatic paste uses macOS Accessibility permission. Without it, choose a clip and paste with Command-V.
Version-one scope
AI, Calendar integration, OCR, and cross-device sync are not included.
